Rory Hoy is a Multi- Award Winning Music Producer/ DJ and Film Maker. He has 5 critically acclaimed albums under his belt on Freddy Fresh’s Howlin’ Records label (USA) and numerous singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations on various labels worldwide. His single ‘Hey Everybody’ featuring the vocals of Ashley Slater (Ex Freakpower with Fatboy Slim) was one of Craig Charles’ ’Tracks of 2015’ on his BBC6 Funk & Soul Show and used as Trailer music. Rory continues to be championed by Craig with his new releases and has been DJ support to him on his touring Funk & Soul Show. Rory was featured in the PRS ‘M’ magazine as a rising new talent and has seen praise from other artists including Fatboy Slim, Afrika Bambaata, Mr Scruff, DJ Cam, Fake Blood, Ali Shaheed Muhammad from A Tribe Called Quest among others.
Rory has enjoyed Djing at many Festivals and Clubs including the legendary Leeds Festival and was the Opening Act for the official Tour De France Fan Park playing to over 20,000 happy punters! He has also performed in Paris and continues to work on Syncs for Film, TV and Adverts, having his tracks used by Disney, Sony BET TV, Costco and Buzzfeed Yellow in USA and the official Tour De France ITV Documentary.
He was the Winner of the Yorkshire Young Achiever of the Year Award hosted by ITV, in the Arts Category, which he won alongside actor Mikey North from Coronation St and has won many national awards including a UNICEF award, a Royal Television Society nomination, and collected an award from film director, Guy Ritchie.
He also makes short films, over 38 to date, 3 of which have been shown on BBC TV. His film 'Autism & Me' is released with his booklet on DVD worldwide through Jessica Kingsley Publishers. He’s been featured on British and American TV (BBC, ITV, Sky, and NBC "Today Show" in America) and also on BBC and Independent Radio. He’s Youth Patron of the London based charity 'Resources for Autism', and in this capacity, was invited to a special reception at the House of Lords. He also goes into schools and organisations where they show his film, and talks about autism. He was a Centenary Ambassador for the National Charity, UK Youth - and featured in their promotional film. He continues to be an Ambassador for them. He was also invited to be a Royal Commonwealth Associate Fellow.
He is an energetic and crowd pleasing performer and always happy to hear from festivals and venues looking for a DJ to really get a party atmosphere going!
